Webspots – ’22 Hot Rod

Being a big fan of the custom car scene, I’ve got a soft spot for all modified things – even in RC. To this end, I’ve been looking at getting a scale 4×4, not a huge monstertruck, but a proper Mitsubishi Shogun-type car for scale green-laning and larking in the mud. That means spending time on forums ”for research…” and spotting all manner of custom tomfoolery. Amongst my spots (more coming soon), was this frankly awesome and original ’22 Hot Rod, over at the Scale 4×4 R/C Forums, built by chevy55.

The builder is trying to keep as scale as possible….including casing the 540 electric motor inside the scale engine, and having a solid axle at the rear. Makes you nostalgic for the TV series ‘American Hot Rod’ doesn’t it?
